The steel end rail clamp is a vital component in the construction of ballfield fencing, backstops, and dog kennels. In essence, the clamp secures two separate pieces of pipe together in the form of a T-shaped joint. The assembly process is simple, as this clamp is made of two identically shaped halves. The shorter āarmā of the brace makes up the TāsĀ verticalĀ branch (post). Enclose this āarmā around the center of a chain link fence pipe. Insert the very end of the second pipe through the longer āarmā to create the Tās horizontal shaft.
Clamping everything securely together requires a carriage bolt (sold separately). Before applying the bolt, inch the second fence pipeāthe vertical oneādown until it sits just past the square-shaped bolt hole in the clampās center. Insert the carriage bolt through this hole and all the way through the other side. Now, use a nut to tighten the two clamp piecesāand the pipes they containātogether.
The 1-3/8ā x 1-3/8ā End Rail Clamp is made of galvanized steel for superior rust resistance. This means the clamp is resilient to rust caused by precipitation such as rain. This, in turn, contributes to your chain link fenceās longevity.
