2" Galvanized Steel End Band [14 Gauge] For Chain Link Fences

Steel end bands—also known as brace bands—are a key fitting for the installation of chain link panels. Use these bands on your terminal posts for attaching bottom tension wire, horizontal rails, and barbed wire. (Terminal posts include gate posts and end posts.) Prior to installing the end bands, verify that the posts of your chain link fence panels have been fitted with tension bands. Then, install the end band by slipping its brace over the terminal post adjacent to the rail end you want to attach. Now slide the tip of the end rail between the end band's tangs. The final step is to secure the band and rail together using a carriage bolt (sold separately).

This 2" Galvanized Steel End Band is rust resistant, as it has been fashioned from galvanized steel.

Details

How the part fits? A 2” end bands are designed to go over 2” terminal posts.

Where is it installed? A 2” end band is installed to support the rail end at the top of the fence. The 2” end band will be placed adjacent to the rail end on the 2” terminal post.

How many do you need?  You will need (1) 2” end band per termination of fence. For every full stretch of fabric, you will need (2) end bands for your (2) terminal posts.

Instructions

2” end bands should be installed after you install your tensions bands. Your end band will slide over your 2” terminal post adjacent to your rail end. You will then slide your rail end in between the tangs of the end band and place a 5/16” x 1-1/4” carriage bolt through the band and rail end and tighten the nut.
