The Story

The 2-1/2" x 1-5/8" Aluminum Line Top, also known as a chain link loop or rail cap, has been specially fabricated to secure top rails for chain link fence panels. To install, simply place on top of a line post so that the looped opening is parallel to your fence rails and the offset side is directed toward the face of the fence. (This keeps the cap - and the line rail once it's installed - flush with the chain link fabric.) Press down until the fitting's snug in place. Now you can slide your top rail through the loop. One line top is needed for each line post on your chain link fence.

This line top has been fashioned from rust resistant aluminum for superior longevity.

  • Made of light-weight aluminum
  • Rust-resistant
  • Maintenance free

Due to minor manufacturing differences, actual product may vary slightly from pictures shown.

    Details

How the part fits? The cap slips over the top of the line post, with the top rail, top tension wire, or wire ties slipping through the loop.

Where is it installed? The loop should lean toward the front or face of the fence to allow the chain link fabric to be flush to the top rail.

How many do you need? One line top is required for each line post.

    Specifications

Fits 2-1/2" line post and 1-5/8" top rail. Measurements are outside diameter; .16lbs.

    How To

Place the line top over the exposed edge of the post. Once line tops are set on all line posts, slip the top rail through each line top.
